Q2 2024 Android Fitness & Weight Loss Apps Performance in the US

In the second quarter of 2024, the fitness and weight loss category on Android saw varied performances among the leading apps in the US. Sensor Tower's data gives us a closer look at the trends for these applications.

Strava: Run, Bike, Hike experienced a steady increase in revenue, starting at $7.44K in the first week of April and peaking at $12.1M in the third week of June. Downloads showed a mid-quarter dip but recovered to 898K by the end of June. Weekly active users hovered around the 23K mark, with a slight uptick to 23.8K in the final week.

Lifesum Food Tracker & Fasting also saw an upward trajectory in revenue, with early April starting at $4.95K and reaching $6.03K by mid-June before slightly dropping to $5.23K. Downloads had a gradual decline from 751K to 419K, while active users remained relatively stable, ending the quarter at 7.2K.

Fitbit had fluctuating revenue throughout the quarter, starting at $3.68K and reaching a high of $7.94K in the last week of June. The app's downloads were consistent, with a minor increase from 187K to 210K. Weekly active users saw a slight decrease from 41.2K in April to 39.4K in June.

MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter showed varied revenue, with a notable peak of $2.87K in the third week of June, up from $2.15K in early April. Downloads ranged from 356K at the start of the quarter to 224K at its close. Active users declined slightly from 3.5K to 3.4K.

Geocaching® had the lowest revenue among the top apps, starting at $1.09K and closing the quarter at $1.36K. Downloads began at 233K and ended at 174K. Active users showed minor fluctuations, with a low of 573 in late May and rebounding to 595 by the quarter's end.
